Ferdinando Sarmi was brilliant and this 1960s black silk chiffon cocktail dress of his design gives plenty of reason why. Brooches have been seen on fronts of some of the most fashionable women in town recently (Olivia Palermo and Fabiola Bercasa - to name a few) and there are a thousand ways to wear them. I suggest that the bigger the brooch the better and don't always assume it needs to be placed on a lapel! Get creative and use one on a strand of beads or a chain; wear one front and center - under your neckline; or wear a collection down a sleeve or together to create something dramatic.
