Vintage Find of the Day
It's clear I have an affinity for gold bracelets, but I had a chance to try this vintage 1940s Georg Jensen bracelet on earlier in the week, and now I don't have eyes for any other jewelry! Taking it off my wrist left me semi-heart broken. I'm considering eBaying a few of the more serious items in my closet so I can purchase it.
Browse this fabulous collection of vintage George Jensen.

Don't be shy when it comes to layering (yes - more than one piece at a time) sequins, fancy beadwork and shiny crystals this season. Some of the most inspiring and feminine fashion looks right now are the most ornate.
Making embellished work:
Try layering and embellished top with a collection of crystal jewels (search Etsy and eBay for some great crystal finds that make purchasing 3 or 4 strands very reasonable).
DIY with crystal or rhinestone epaulettes on a basic black blazer or tee - or both (see www.joann.com for a selection of rhinestone applicators or the BeDazzler Tool).
Pair a dazzling sequin dress with a shrunken denim jacket for a casual chic evening look. Add a sparkling clutch to finish your look.

Because you're worth it! This divine vintage 1950s 14k gold bracelet could be yours. It might be my second favorite vintage piece right now (see post from last Tuesday). They don't make bracelets like this anymore. It's a stunner and available here.

I love spectacular jewelry and this is one of my new, favorite finds. It is a vintage 1960s thermoset collar necklace. Its lovely raspberry and lavender shaped rhinestones are combined to make an outstanding piece of jewelry. Dress this up or down (with a white t, jeans and lovely clutch - it would make for the simplest spring ensemble) and enjoy every ounce of its lovliness.
Available here for $600.

Spring Chic
If I could have any dress this spring, it would be this geometric dot dress by Alexander McQueen (MCQ). I would pair it with his electric blue python heels and I would wear the combination over and over again.

Here is a subtle and easy way to stay on top of the exciting trend of mixing patterns - rely on a pair of bold heels! Animal print or bright textured heels look fabulous with an array of printed tops, tees and dresses. If you are going for separates - keep your bottom half neutral (black is easiest) and let your imagination run wild on top, because the more daring you are, chances are, the more stylish your look will be.
Take a look at these fabulous shoes to get you started:
Opening Ceremony zip front snake skin heels.
DVF suede and snake effect leather sandals.
Nicholas Kirkwood digital leopard bootie.

Lingerie inspired looks are not reserved for the runways anymore. Consider adding a little corsetry, satin or lace detail to your every day staples this season and the result will be an ultra feminine look with flair. And, don't assume the look only works in evening - be daring and show your pretty lingerie straps in daylight.
The easiest way to sample this look? Try a delicate corseted top with a boyfriend blazer or comfy cardigan. Or, pair a delicate slip dress with your trusty motorcycle boots.
Shopping around:
Asos studded bustier ($71).
TopShop zip slip dress ($98).
Elizabeth and James corset dress ($445).
