Love That Look
Perfectly pulled together and casual - who doesn't want the same when they are dressing for a day on the go. Try your own version of this easy look by pairing your lace-up booties and black tights with a comfortable mini (in denim or tweed) and easy underlayer and a fitted jacket. Complete the look with a beautifully wrapped winter scarf and et voila.

So very cute. These vintage (signed) Weiss earrings are an adorable look for day or night. The black marquis stones are quite chic and look wonderful against the details of the gold tone setting.

While it's not a roughed up biker jacket, it is a darling vintage faux fur with leopard spots. Synonymous to its era, it has a great a-line silhouette with black button accents. In excellent condition. Fully lined. Size large.
Making it work: A printed fur is a true classic. Wear it day or night with a simple black ensemble. Keep accessories to a minimum. Steer clear of pairing this wonderful piece with denim, unless it is a black rinse.
Available for $135 on Esty at TheGreedySeagull, or here.

If she's not one of the cooler girls on the street (London or anywhere), I'm not sure who is! She has all the season's style favorites covered and manages to look so effortlessly hip and comfortable at the same time.
Try your own version of this ultra cool look. Anchor your outfit with a great biker jacket and platform ankle boots. Keep the separates black. And, soften it all up a touch with your favorite bold gold necklace.

It doesn't get much more chic than these three ladies. Try your own version of these fabulous looks. Don't be afraid of a bold shoe statement in winter or varying shades of a similar hue (who doesn't love every version of blue), or a flowy, full pant. And above all, have fun!

So unique and so chic. This faceted glass and moonstone choker is a stunner. It would look great paired with stark black in winter or with any assortment of bright dress ups in summer. It was recently purchased from a living estate and is likely from the 1980s. The necklace is in like new condition and the stones have been recently cleaned.

Art Chic
Not only is the Victoria & Albert my all-time favorite museum, it is one of my favorite resources for online shopping. From stylish jewelry and textiles to glamorous prints and canvases, the V&A's various websites give anyone access to a host of wonderful and affordable unique gifts and collectibles.
This print is one of my favorites. It is also available in canvas and in varying sizes. It is a replica of the original printed dress fabric from the Art Deco years that is part of the museum's permanent collection. Wouldn't it look great framed in a powder room?

The Red Cross is making it very easy to support the relief efforts going on in Haiti. As described on their website (www.redcross.org) a simple text message can make a difference. Here is what to do:
Text "HAITI" to 90999 to donate $10 to American Red Cross relief for Haiti. The donation will be charged to your cellphone bill.

As seen on various runways over the last few seasons, socks aren't just for sneakers anymore. In fact, I think they look best with a great pair of platforms or wedges. Whether they are knee socks or ankle socks, try a pair with your favorite heels this season and it might be the easiest way to update your look!

I love it when a woman isn't afraid to wear bright brights. This orange blazer is fab and looks perfectly balanced with an otherwise monochromatic look. And, her feather bag is just the right touch!
Try your own version of this chic look. Not feeling the bright orange? Take a look at this blue single button blazer from Twenty8Twelve. It would make a great transition piece from winter to spring.

Vintage Find of the Day
I'm tempted to post some of the wonderful and bright spring trends that are all over the internet, but it's only early January and I'm sticking to winter finds. This reconstructed 1960s faux fur is adorable. It's ivory color with shades of grey make it an easy neutral piece to layer over any winter ensemble. Dress it up or down - it's fabulous.
Available now for $145 at www.vintagenyc.com.
Making it work: This coat is ideal. It's casual enough (given its shape and knit waist and sleeve cuffs) to wear with skinny jeans and boots for around the town. Stick to wearing it with more subdued outfits for evening - a plain black dress or skinny jeans and stilettos.
